i'm not even into blue. but today... at goodwill.... this vibrant, hand-painted covered dish.... made me gasp! when i lifted the lid... i found the price tag (below) of $1.49.
be still my heart.
it went into the shopping cart!

Really pretty colors. I was thinking that it kind of looks European.
I'm wondering if that's a vintage silverplate covered dish that has been up-cycled and painted very nicely. I've seen others painted all white, with rubbed off areas to give a Shabby Chic look.....kind of a clever way to disguise old silverplate that has lost it's lustre!
