here's my latest addition to my nature collection. a fresh deer head. look at the first picture... you can see the deer tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. this was a gift today, from my father-in-law... who's always bringing me nature treasures... including a dead hummingbird. sure doesn't take much to make this redneck chick happy! smile, wink, nod.
p.s. my husband insisted i keep it outside... it sort of smelled.

You are just too much !!!!
You go girl :O)
My kids and I hit a deer with our car this past fall. The officer that stopped to check on us wanted to know if we were going to keep the deer. If not he said," I am on duty, but my wife can come out and field dress it and she will take it home!!!"
Enjoy the addition to your nature collection.

Love it!

Today my son found a mouse frozen in ice (outside of course). I have yet to see it, but tomorrow we are going to check the little guy out :)

Michele, I was shocked when I first saw you holding that deer head! I feel so bad for dead animals.....then I thought it's too bad you can't spray paint it bright pink or turquoise and hang it.....I guess it would still smell. Maybe make a plaster cast of it?
