sunday night, will find me flopped on the couch with
popcorn and soft quilts, watching julie & julia!
have you seen it? what did you think? i found this copy at
redbox. i love redbox.

i made these recycled change purses, last night.
you can make them, too. it's easy. here's how...
find a wool sweater that is banged up and distressed.
cut a desired size and shape... rectangle or square?...
fold in half and stitch. i use my favorite stitch, the
blanket stitch.

then i took a rose colored velvet blouse
i had and made rosettes from the fabric!
and attached a vintage button in the middle!
i have a difficult time watching "boy" movies, with
my son and husband... hence, i do most of my crafts
while they tune into their
westerns or car chase shows (varoom, vroom!)...
i'm still in the same room... yet doing something i enjoy.
so, give it a try... go find a wool sweater and start your change purse!
smile, wink, nod!

I'm hooked on REDBOX too...because of you! We even canceled our Netflix subscription.

I enjoyed Julie and Julia. The ending was a little bit of a let down, but over all it was a enjoyable way to spend an evening snuggled at home. I "met" Julia Child about 11 years ago at a book signing; she and Jacques Pepin were discussing their PBS TV Show and their new book and then signing their new book. They were so delightful and quirky together ~ like an old married couple.

Always love to see what your hands are busy doing.

Have a great week!

I just finished the dvd... what a fun movie! I agree with you Teresa... the ending wasn't what I expected... I thought for sure ... okay, never mind... I better not give the ending away... just incase someone hasn't seen it.

How cool to meet Julia irl!!

Oh, those are SO pretty! I think you are very talented. That is when I usually do my needlework stuff, too.
I really liked Julie and Julia. I thought Meryl Streep did a fabulous job portraying Julia, and Julie cracked me up with all her drama. lol

Meryl Streep has brought me so much enjoyment from "Bridges of Madison County" to "Julie and Julia". Is "Redbox" the machine that is outside groc. stores? I laugh everytime of visit your blog and see you holding the racoon by the tail! Great photography! Sheila

I can't think of anyone that doesn't like Julia Child. She's just one of those inherently likable people. Meryl Streep did a great job portraying her....that voice! I've seen the move Julie & Julia about five times. Lovely! And Michelle, I think your change purses are adorable. I've been sewing a lot too, making flower embellishments.
