i was a bit lazy in december, when it came to reading. now that the major celebrations are behind me, i decided to open the pages of anita diamant's biblical historical fiction, "the red tent."
wow. my-oh-my. yowza. and captivating.... are words that do not do this heavy book justice. it's more like..... "eye's wide open," to me!
it would make a fabulous ladies book club book.
with many on-line discussion questions.

I loved The Red Tent! It's been a few years since I read it, but I remember it being very vividly written and changed the way I looked at things.
Your post made me curious, so I checked The Red Tent out from the library. Looking forward to reading it.
Fantastic book. I am reading "Carpe Demon: The Adventures Of A Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom". Awesome read lol.
Happy (soon-to-be) New Year!
An eye opening, heart changing book for me was "Mutant Message Down Under" about a woman who goes on an Aboriginal walkabout in Australia. It will really convict you about your 'extravagences'. Pretty quick read too.
